Trials By Design

Tuesday, July 28

“Problems and trials are tailor made by God for each one of us.”—Tom Thieme. No one has ever lived that is just like you—or me. This is a well established fact, but it is still an awesome truth. So it should be no surprise that God treats each of us differently. He has a personal relationship with each one of us that is different than with any one else. But I never gave a thought as to Tom’s statement before. My problems and trials are actually designed by God for me alone. You know what that does for me? God has to love me dearly to do that. He does everything for my good. “And we know that in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” Rom. 8:28. He has specific goals to accomplish in my life. And when I resist or go my own way, He has a way to get me back on track. His love for me can overcome any barrier that I put up against Him. I think that I would be wise to respond well so that He doesn’t have to add more problems and trials to accomplish His purposes in me.
