Rom. 12:3 tells us that we should not think more highly of ourselves than we ought to think. There’s a logical sequence here. First, we are to present our bodies to God as a living sacrifice. God then transforms our minds so that we no longer conform to the world. Then verse three tells us not to be proud. It makes sense. Whatever is good in us comes from the renovation process, which is a work of God. So what is there to be proud about? Nothing! All of this fantastic work of God and all we have to do is be available. All the time!
